Job Description
Work with Research& Development (R&D) and NPI Manufacturability & Transfer (M&T) teams to ensure well-planned and coordinated ramp of new products into US (Aliso Viejo) manufacturing operations. Manage production engineers, technicians, and sustaining operations. Develop and execute agile and responsive production systems that seamlessly onboard new product lines and transition mature products to other manufacturing sites.
Job duties:

• 
  
• Create and manage manufacturing systems that effectively ramp incoming products coming from R&D and conversely support efficient ramp down and/or transfer or processes and required assets to other sites.
  
• Build production skillsets to work with R&D personnel to capture and absorb key technical skills required for (A) effective production ramp at Aliso and (B) transfer of products to personnel at other sites.
  
• Ensure documentation of product-specific manufacturing knowledge is robust and support cross training of other sites as necessary. Eliminate tribal knowledge.
  
• Develop skills and manage careers of manufacturing professionals (engineers and technicians) within the function.
  
• Devise and maintain metrics and reporting capabilities that drive operational performance to all levels of the organization.
  
• Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
    
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of technical manufacturing work experience.
    
  • Minimum five (5) years of management responsibility.
    
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to assign and monitor work.
    
  • Experience working with and/or implementing LEAN principles for manufacturing.
    
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
    
    Desired Qualifications

    • Strong Leadership, Project Management, Communication, & Organizational skills.
      
    • Well demonstrated abilities to collaborate and communicate with multiple impacted functions - other site Manufacturing, OPEX.
      
    • Ability to operate and negotiate obstacles independently.
      
    • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or medical diagnostics industry.
      
    • Experience operating in a NPI manufacturing environment.
