Industry: Medical Technology and Pharmaceutical Level: Full time Compensation: Base Salary Range: $109,100 - $158,100 Overview Position Summary The Patient Support Specialist is part of Glaukos Patient Services (GPS) and facilitates the Patient Journey by working directly with patients and their caregivers to facilitate appropriate services to ensure patients have access to Glaukos' sight saving technologies. This role works with patients and their caregivers to deliver disease state education and information regarding treatment options, financial assistance and patient copay assistance. Compensation Compensation for each successful candidate will be based on several factors, which may include qualifications, experience, education, talent availability, and local market conditions. Range listed is not inclusive of additional compensation such as bonus, equity, or additional benefits. Responsibilities Collaborates with Reimbursement Liaisons and Case Managers to identify and eliminate barriers to access for patients enrolled in GPS. Software Development Responds to questions related to coding, payer policy, and approval protocols. Leadership Demonstrates positive leadership, without authority, to peers, upper management and other stakeholders by leveraging skills and expertise in patient support management. Travel Ability to travel, as well as overnight travel (-20%) and attendance at scheduled training and meetings. Training Successfully completes assigned training. Communication Manages all forms of communication in a timely and professional fashion to ensure patient needs are fully met and all relevant internal stakeholders are appropriately updated. Requirements Nurse Clinical Nurse or Medical Billing & Coding certification a plus. Qualifications Successful navigation of complex authorization processes for specialty medications, Orphan, or Rare disease.Educated Healthcare Professionals or patients on the availability of patient support programs such as Co-Pay Assistance and Patient Assistance Programs. Goals Proven record of accomplishment in achieving objectives and corporate goals with minimal direct supervision. Degree Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Experience 3+ years' experience working in Patient Services and/or patient access programs with significant experience with a Patient Service Center/Hub.5+ years sales, district management, marketing, field reimbursement, patient advocacy or patient access manager experience.
