reference laboratory.Summary:The Associate Scientist -
Computational Biology role provides expertise in image analysis,
data science and machine learning to the analytics team within
MultiOmyx. The Associate Scientist preferably has a background in
analyzing biological images or high-dimensional biological data,
and is responsible for conducting analysis of large multiplexed
immunofluorescence and IHC datasets from service contracts leading
to the successful completion of client projects. The Associate
Scientist also develops working solutions to complex bio-image
informatics tasks and ensures successful implementation in the
production environment.Responsibilities:Core
ResponsibilitiesConduct image and data analysis for client projects
and present findings to clients using.Perform statistical tests and
generate data visualizations from client data.Represent the
analytics team in a diverse range of settings, including with other
departments, clients, audits, vendors, and conferences. -Provide
input on project design and feasibility studies.Proactively
identify, assess, and internalize promising methods to improve
quality of analyses.Independently design and implement machine
learning and image analysis pipelines for multiplexed
immunofluorescence data.Build advanced deep learning and AI systems
for MultiOmyx image analytics applications.Research, evaluate, and
develop machine learning algorithms using supervised and
unsupervised learning to solve complex image analytics
problems.Leverage the scale of NeoGenomics proprietary data and
compute infrastructure to address challenging bioimage analysis
problems.Develop methods and tools to support analysis &
visualization of large datasets.Perform literature review, write
project/product proposals or plans.Analyze, present data, and
project updates to the management team.Provide support to research
collaborations, clinical trials and other department
projects.Prepare high quality technical reports and documentation
including posters/papers, client presentations and technical
content for marketing materials.Additional Responsibilities (may be
assigned):Attend additional training or educational opportunities
as requested.Attend and present at academic meetings.May publish
from R&D activities.Train the staff in proper
procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by the Scientific
Manager as needed.Achieves desired level of competency and accuracy
for the main department processes and responsibilities of assigned
position, as defined in established SOP's, within 6
months.Completes project goals within established
guidelines.Reports quality results with limited errors.Works
productively and efficiently to achieve company and departmental
goals.Communicates effectively with all levels of staff.Adheres to

life, physical or computer science preferred; M.S., B.S. in a life,
physical or computer science with related experienceExperience:Two
or more years of related technical experience in analysis of
biological image data preferred.Qualification Requirements:Strong
understanding of image analysis and machine learning
techniques.Proven programming skills, in at least one of the
following languages: C, C++, Python, Java.Familiarity with
state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and
packages.Familiarity with TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch or other deep
learning frameworks.Experience working with large data sets,
preferably large biological image datasets.Passionate about staying
on the cutting edge of data science technologies.Must be able to
work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain
production and quality standards.Ability to develop and deliver
complex directions and scientific project plans.Excellent written
and verbal presentation skills and the ability to use software
tools to produce high impact presentations of data.Ability to
problem solve independently and escalate problems in a timely
manner.Ability to work independently and within a team
environment.Must be able to work in a laboratory environment and
comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety
Manual.Good visual acuity including color perception required for
