Summary: The Buyer is responsible for purchasing direct and indirect goods/service based on purchase type and/or assigned location(s). The Buyer collaborates with both Inventory Management and Sourcing program functions and assures materials are purchased and delivered in a timely manner. Purchasing Operations support Clinical, Pharma and Corporate business units. Core Responsibilities: * The Buyer will process requisitions to purchase orders for direct and indirect goods & service for the assigned locations, obtain confirmations, ETA's and assures good/services are delivered in a timely manner. Review weekly/monthly/dashboards. * Process requisitions for FDA related items as per required procedures. * Works with and collaborates the inventory management team to ensure deliveries satisfy the inventory needs and report any back order information. * Investigates and resolves PO issues, works collaboratively with both internal and external points of contacts. * Resolves receipt and Invoice holds in the system. * Generate, monitors and publishes metrics for the purchase to pay process, metric examples, open PO's, past due PO's, receipts holds, Invoice holds, Invoice date prior to PO date, etc. * Analyze data as needed to identify issues/trends relevant to Purchasing program/processes. * Identifies and contributes to process improvements efforts of department processes. * Serves as point person for internal customer questions and/or inquiries regarding purchases. * Assists with training for purchase to pay process and/or ERP (Oracle) systems as needed. * Generates and maintains purchasing related documents current and up to date. * Adheres to financial controls and participates in audits as needed. * Develop and maintain applicable Standard Operating Procedures for the purchasing process as needed. Education, Experience, and Requirements: * Associates Degree or 2+ years related experience * 1+ year experience in Finance/Supply Chain required * Experience in healthcare or clinical lab industry preferred * Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, experience working with ERP systems a plus Qualification Requirements: * Must either be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within probationary period, first 90 days, or submit a NeoGenomics Medical or Religious Exemption as a form of reasonable accommodation within 7 business days of your start date which will be required by the HR department. If you are formally offered a position to join NeoGenomics, at that time you may initiate the Medical or Religious Exemption process with the Human Resource department. * Understands purchasing financials by period, commitments and liabilities. * Ability to function independently within a broad scope of guidelines and established policies and goals. * Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to serve internal customers. * Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with department managers/directors and clinical staff. * Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate well at all levels of an organization.
