Software Engineer - On-Device Core Telemetry PlatformLocation: San Diego, California, United StatesCategory: Software and ServicesDescriptionWe are seeking a motivated engineer with excellent programming, problem-solving, and communication skills. In this role, you will design and develop an on-device platform for efficient data collection across all platforms. This includes developing logging infrastructure to model energy usage, performance, and server impact of various apps and software services. Success in this role requires a solid foundation in software design and architecture, a good understanding of systems, and excellent debugging and triage skills.Minimum Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Strong coding skills, preferably in C/C++/Objective C
• Strong analytical thinking to solve challenging problemsPreferred Qualifications
  • Experience with development on embedded platforms
  • Good understanding of operating system conceptsAdditional InformationAt Apple, base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package, determined within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The pay range for this role is $135,400 to $250,600.
