Job Description:

RxSight has commercialized the world's first and only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) that is customized after cataract surgery. This intraocular lens can be adjusted non-invasively while in the eye, allowing the post-cataract surgery patient to see clearly at distance without the use of eyeglasses or contact lenses. The application of light to the implanted Light Adjustable Lens (LAL---) will fine-tune the patient's lens power to their specific visual need.This technology sets the stage for a series of lens products from RxSight that will have widespread application in cataract and refractive surgery as well as outside the field of medicine.
We are looking for a Connectivity Software Engineer who is experienced in full-stack development. This individual reports to the Software Engineering manager and will serve as a subject matter expert and individual contributor for technology related to the connectivity of light delivery device (LDD) to a local network and cloud. Primary duties include maintaining the existing codebase, generating documentation, and contributing to the development of new system software.
Connectivity engineer will assume overall responsibility for developing the gateway to enable and maintain reliable communications between the devices and a server. Propose and develop architecture to deploy software updates, gather system information, while meeting cybersecurity, HIPPA, etc. requirements. Additionally, connectivity engineer will contribute to the LDD application software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support all necessary extensions and modifications of the RxSight code base. This includes:
• Defining software requirements
• Documenting software requirements, architecture and descriptions
• Developing test plans and reports
• Develop testing and documentation that are compliant with necessary standards and regulations
• Design and develop all other necessary software and software test tools to support RxSight products EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Software related field - 7+ years as a full-stack developer - Experience with Networking technologies such as REST, TCP/IP, CAN, and wireless (Wi-Fi, cellular, Bluetooth) - Experience with Cloud-based solutions with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc - Experience with Developing IoT solutions in embedded systems - Experience with Over-the-Air (OTA) updates a plus
  SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE:REQUIRED - C/C++ - Linux and Windows - Embedded
  DESIRED - JavaScript, Angular, ReactJS, NodeJS - Architectural design and delivery of cloud services
