is a managed medical plan built around surrounding participants
with a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists and
care coordinators to help them maintain good health and a good
quality of life. Our goal is to keep our seniors happy and healthy
at home surrounded by their family and community. As a private,
non-profit 501(C) (3) community health organization, we serve over
500k medical, dental, and behavioral health visits from more than
100,000 people annually. With two PACE centers located in Riverside
County, our PACE program is positioned to serve over 650 senior
participants. The Food Transportation Driver is primarily
responsible for providing safe transport and delivering prepared
food for the program participants, from the Riverside PACE center
to the Murrieta PACE site. This is a full-time position. Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:45am-3:45pm. Responsibilities Transport food from
one site to the other in a timely and competent manner Operates
equipment safely and in compliance with vehicle licensing
regulations Follows established schedules and makes necessary
adjustments to meet unanticipated changes; determines the safest
and most efficient delivery routes Inspects and loads food carts in
a safe and efficient manner, secures them properly for safe
transport and delivery Inspects and ensures vehicle is maintained
to a clean and safe condition and gas tank filled daily; notifies
appropriate supervisor of maintenance or repairs needed Maintains
standard records, (e.g., logs of deliveries and miles driven,
service records, gasoline purchases) Follows all safety guidelines
and standards; attends safety in-services and offer guidance or
assistance to staff working in an unsafe manner Reports accidents
and incidents to supervisor immediately Delivers medications and
other supplies to participants, when time permits Follows proper
infection control procedures and maintain supply of emergency clean
up kits Qualifications Education/Experience High school diploma/GED
preferred Valid CA Class C driver’s license required Experience
working with elderly population preferred Clean driving record
(free from major infractions including, but not limited to, DUI,
negligent, reckless, or excessive minor infractions and
convictions) required Successful completion of defensive driving
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon
hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment. These
courses must follow AHA guidelines, but may be completed through
approved online providers such as ProMed or other equivalent
programs that meet recognized BLS standards. Additional
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Demonstrated
ability to safely operate a lift ramp in van or vehicle Excellent
verbal and written communication skills, including superior
composition, typing and proofreading skills Ability to interpret a
variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent planning and organizational ability Ability to work as
part of a team as well as independently Ability to work with highly
confidential information in a professional and ethical manner
Physical Requirements Ability to lift or push 40 lbs/weight Ability
to stand or sit for long periods of time Pay range: $22.88 to
$32.04 per hour, depending on experience. Compensation Disclosure:
The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this
position. While this range represents the broader classification of
the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors,
including but not limited to: the candidate’s overall knowledge,
skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks,
internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations
and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range
is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be
utilized.
