Technician (PCT) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct
patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and
physicians, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and adherence to
clinical standards. Key Responsibilities Administer assigned
patient care tasks within scope of practice and facility protocols.
Conduct initial pain screening by asking patients standardized pain
assessment questions (Yes/No) and promptly notify the RN of any
positive responses requiring further evaluation. Perform all
functions appropriate to a Patient Care Technician, including vital
signs, intake and output monitoring, daily weights, ambulation
assistance, and related clinical support tasks. Respond promptly to
patient call lights, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to
assess and address patient needs. Reposition and turn bedridden
patients to promote comfort, circulation, and skin integrity.
Provide physical assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs),
including transferring out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting,
standing, walking, and light exercise. Review and adhere to patient
dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure
appropriate nutrition delivery. Measure and accurately document
food and fluid intake, as well as urinary and fecal output,
reporting any significant changes to nursing or medical staff.
Obtain and record vital signs—including temperature, blood
pressure, pulse, and respiration rate—in accordance with clinical
direction. Gather and communicate relevant patient information from
caregivers, nurses, and physicians regarding patient condition,
treatment plans, and approved activities. Observe patients for
changes in condition, including bruising, open wounds, cognitive
changes, abnormal vital signs, signs of distress, or blood in
urine, and report findings promptly. Document and communicate
patient behaviors, complaints, and physical symptoms to the nursing
team in a timely and accurate manner. Remind patients to take
prescribed medications or nutritional supplements as directed.
Assist with patient rounding and support overall unit workflow.

Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED (must
be in hand) Minimum of two (2) years of Obstetrics (OB) experience
in a hospital or clinical setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification from the American Heart Association Current
California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license Strong
understanding of human anatomy and basic medical terminology Job
Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los
Angeles, California 90059. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this
position is $29.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to
some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length
