Medical Assistant Location: Playa Vista, CA Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $920 to $1,080 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $23.00 - $27.00/Hourly. Summary: The Medical Assistant supports physicians and clinical staff by performing a combination of administrative and clinical duties. This role ensures efficient patient flow, accurate medical records, and high-quality patient care in a medical office or healthcare facility. Locals accepted at lower rate Responsibilities: Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record. Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data. Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice. Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs. Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines. Requirements Requirements: 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting, 1 year of OBGYN setting experience, Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program, Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture, High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, BLS Certification, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans, Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries, Locals accepted at lower rate. Experience with the following OBGYN procedures required: PAP, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST Benefits Benefits: Referral Program - for each referral start.
