Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Director - Pharmacy to
provide clinical support and leadership in pharmacy review
operations.
Key Responsibilities
Review and approve pharmacist denials for outpatient medication
requests and conduct coverage reviews based on individual member
plans
Collaborate with clinical staff to evaluate service requests and
provide support to CCR teams
Communicate with network and non-network providers to ensure
accurate benefit determinations and educate them on medical
policies
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted physician license
Current board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Practice,
or Emergency Medicine
5+ years of clinical practice experience post-residency
Experience using electronic clinical systems
Solid understanding of Evidence-Based Medicine and current medical
practices
