Content Marketing Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for creating educational and compelling
healthcare-related content across various mediums, while also
developing and executing content marketing strategies that align
with organizational objectives and help drive engagement. Serve as
a voice of the organization, ensuring that all content is
consistent, cohesive, informative, and adheres to corporate
branding and messaging guidelines to establish the organization as
a trusted industry leader. Collaborate with the marketing
department, cross-functionally, and external vendors to achieve
organizational objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Content Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Marketing
team and vendors to develop content strategies aligned with
organizational brand objectives and target audiences.
- Identify key topics and themes that support organizational
marketing goals and resonate across patient, healthcare
professional, direct-to-consumer (DTC), and referral
audiences.
- Brand Messaging: Develop a deep understanding of our brand,
messaging, claims, and clinical citations. Manage consistency,
cohesiveness, and uniformity in all materials and ensure compliance
with regulatory requirements. Incorporate any new messaging and
data to the corporate claims matrix.
- Copywriting and Content Creation: Craft clear, concise,
engaging, high-quality copy and content for various marketing needs
including blog posts, articles, social media posts, SEO campaigns,
website and landing pages, email campaigns, product descriptions,
advertisements, presentations, video scripts, press releases, and
more. Adjust writing style to different mediums and target
audiences. Identify opportunities for innovation and propose new
content ideas that align with our corporate and educational
objectives. Ensure that all content is consistent with our brand
voice, style, and guidelines.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content to ensure
accuracy, clarity, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Proofread all written materials to eliminate errors and
inconsistencies, and to maintain a high standard of quality and
professionalism. Function as the primary reviewer on all
communications and documents for content submission.
- Presentation Decks: Oversee and manage content updates across
multiple presentation decks, ensuring that messaging, data, and
citations are uniform and consistent.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with
cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Market Access, Sales,
HR, R&D, Clinical, and vendors to align content efforts with
overall marketing initiatives. Collaborate with subject matter
experts within the organization to gather insights and create
authoritative content.
- Research and Insights: Conduct thorough research to gain a
comprehensive understanding of the pain management field,
procedures within the space, and our audiences. Use the insights to
inform and enrich content creation, ensuring it resonates with our
audiences. Stay updated on industry trends, automation resources,
emerging writing techniques, and best practices in
copywriting.
- Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by
on-the-job training, attending educational workshops, reviewing
professional publications, establishing personal networks, and
participating in professional societies.
- Support compliance with the company quality standards, FDA
regulations and guidance, applicable EU Medical Device directives,
applicable ISO standards, and other pertinent country specific
medical regulatory requirements.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
(marketing, business, communications, journalism, etc.).
- A minimum of five years relevant experience in content
marketing and copywriting roles, demonstrating expertise in both
areas.
- Experience in developing and executing content marketing
strategies that align with brand objectives and drive
engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and managing compelling
content across various mediums (e.g., blog posts, articles, social
media, videos, infographics).
- Experience in managing and coordinating content production with
cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience with AP and AMA style guides.
- Strong understanding of content marketing best practices and
optimization techniques and SEO and copywriting
principles.
- Familiarity with digital marketing channels and platforms,
including social media, email marketing, and website content
management systems.
Bonus
- Master's degree in relevant field.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry and healthcare-related
content.
- Experience in the medical device industry, preferably in the
pain management, spinal surgery, or related specialties.

- Ability to analyze content performance metrics and make
data-driven decisions to improve content strategy.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to
detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work
effectively in a team environment.
- Exceptional writing, proofreading and editing skills, with a
strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling, well-researched, and
audience-centric content and copy.
- Takes initiative, great pride, and ownership in work.
- Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels
and across departments.
- Self-directed with ability to effectively work under tight
deadlines, adapt easily, and manage multiple projects
independently, with patience.
- Adaptable and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced
environment.
- Tech savvy: advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word,
MS PowerPoint, and Adobe; proficient in mobile/cloud resources
including Box, Monday.com, and CRM software (preferably Salesforce
and related plug-in applications), and comfortable learning new
technical systems as needed (Zoom, Slack, Smartsheet, etc.).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Travel (Distributed Workforce) - Approximately 10% of time will
be spent traveling for team meetings, conferences, or
meetings.
- Physical Demand - While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended
periods of time. Light physical effort required by handling objects
up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust
focus in relation to travel and operating a personal computer. The
physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential

- Work Environment -
- Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, pharmaceuticals,
chemicals, needles, and sharps, and radiation (from x-ray /
fluoroscopy and similar medical equipment).
- Meet and maintain customer/medical facility access
requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings and
background checks with a satisfactory result in accordance with
Company requirements and the requirements of the customer/medical
facility attending.
- When working in a home office environment, a dedicated office
with minimal distractions which assures maximum privacy of computer
screens to protect confidential and sensitive information is
required; highspeed internet connectivity is required to work
effectively.
