Position Summary: The Manager Software Engineering, APvX will manage technical team of software engineers and solution architects with a focus on business to business and internal NeoGenomics platforms. - This individual will be responsible for overseeing the design, development and support of all application development and software development lifecycle. Core Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for NeoGenomics' overall application development, integration and administration of solution environments and maintenance efforts.
• Manages the team that build and maintains solutions that will balance completing internal and client need and priorities
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align product to meet customer requirements and expectations.
• Evolve and mature the current systems and applications architecture as needed.
• Introduce technology best practices and design patterns.
• Can provide technology process leadership to develop lean and agile processes.
• Manages information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, and implement software changes
• Background in either computational or wet-lab sciences with a focus on regulated laboratory environments Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reports quality results with limited errors.
• Works productively and efficiently to achieve company and departmental goals.
• Communicates effectively with all levels of staff.
• Adheres to NeoGenomics Laboratories core values, safety, compliance, and Company policies and procedures. Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years working experience in leading application development and solution, process design with associated daily support responsibilities.
  • 3+ years' experience leading teams of engineers, team leads and architects.
  • Strong Leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Evolve and mature the new system and architecture, introduce technology best practices and design patterns as needed.
  • Manage the performance and career development of the development team.
  • Experience estimating project resource requirements and managing product delivery schedules and associated risks are essential.
  • Excited and enthusiastic about solving complex problems in a challenging environment.
  • Familiarity with the purpose and function of EHR, LIS, LIMS, ESP workflows and systems
  • Proven history of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Laboratory, Pathology, Oncology or Hospital IT background is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with computational modeling of real-world processes
  • Preferred background in Cell and Gene manufacturing or a demonstrated knowledge of biotechnology and cell therapy
  • Occasional travel required for projects and site knowledge
