Responsibilities:Position Summary:
As the Product Manager - Data on the GECOM team, you will partner closely with fellow leaders in engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success to deliver a best-in-class data-as-service product. A critical member of the product team, you need to be comfortable with complex technical and analytical domains as you help us take our data services to the next level by continuously improving the quality of our data asset and expanding its use cases.
The Product Manager - Data is responsible for helping define the strategy and roadmap for Metagenics global data infrastructure. The key objective for this role is to enable teams to make timely, informed decisions by increasing the availability and quality of our data assets via maturing existing CRM capabilities and stewarding the organization towards a mature CDP that embraces the activation of data to realize tangible value.

Our goals are to enable the widespread use and management of data across the customer experience and entire Metagenics global value chain. We strive to empower Metagenics business domains to leverage data as a competitive advantage.The organization has multiple product teams aligned to business domains. This individual will own and manage the data and analytics strategic roadmap for physical storefronts, digital storefronts, selling domains, etc. They will also define and prioritize work against the roadmap and drive the delivery of its products.

  • Lead a global product and delivery team delivering a wide range of data and analytics solutions across store and selling domains
  • Partners with companion teams for delivery of enterprise connected solutions
  • Accept accountability for end-to-end delivery of Epics, Features, Stories and/or Programs to achieve business outcomes
  • Collaboratively create and align partners to a well articulated global data product vision and strategic roadmap
  • Architect the data ecosystem that will power our next generation customer data platform
  • Serve as a subject matter expert when working with other teams; advise on microservice and API integration that uses customer data
  • Ensure successful product launch and lifecycle, with success defined as achieving desired business outcomes and product KPIs
  • Prioritize the highest leverage work for the team, organized around both short-term delivery and long-term strategy
  • Communicate business impact to stakeholders, including progress on product-market and market-motion fit
  • Explore, evaluate and propose technologies and techniques that fit the needs of the business and drive revenue
  • Lead products through development, testing and launch, advocating to achieve the best outcomes
  • Utilize data to understand customer needs and behaviors as well as business objectives and transform knowledge into platform enhancements
  • Build an intimate knowledge of the customer, business KPIs and technological capabilities to inform product decisions
  • Gather customer needs and feedback through frequent research and testing
  • Create, maintain and communicate the global ecommerce data product strategy and roadmap with key stakeholders
  • Perform engagement and retention analysis to inform, measure and iterate on product development
  • Synthesize research, analysis, and stakeholder feedback into detailed product requirements for new customer experiences and internal tools
  • Collaborate with designers and engineering to create and validate solutions to customer needs
  • Manage cross functional teams; identify and establish when to bring the right teams and people together to focus on the right content in a fast paced environment
  • Understand unique requirements for each country we currently service
  • Other tasks as assignedWhat you'll need:

    • 2+ years as a Product Manager building and offering data products
    • Domain expertise and viewpoint of the modern data stack
    • Comfortable working with data and knowledge of data management techniques.
    • A successful track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver great product experiences
    • Core product management skills around managing scope, stakeholders, milestones, creating user stories, tracking requirements and acceptance criteria
    • Highly collaborative and can create order out of chaos by asking tough questions
    • Comfortable in an ambiguous environment and leading projects and teams
    • Self driven, proactive with an entrepreneurial drive and mindset, excited to roll-up your sleeves to get things done and achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
    • Able to prioritize, juggle multiple priorities and change direction quickly
    • Experience identifying KPIs and consistently delivering work that has a quantifiable
    • Experience implementing minimum viable processes and influencing team behaviors; Iterate based on feedback speedily without hesitation
    • Experience managing technically complex products that require multiple platform integrations
    • Proven track record of identifying customer and business needs and converting them into application and operational requirementsSkills/Abilities:

      • Experience working in a fast paced Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) environment
      • Project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects at once and complete projects to deadline
      • A natural collaborator and communicator who can influence and act as liaison between users/clients and the software development team
      • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical users
      • Highly organized, process and detail-oriented
      • Strong analytical skills. Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans to resolve issues
      • Ability to take direction and work independently, handling self-driven projects efficiently
