Job Description:

EPC is the leader in enhancement mode gallium nitride (eGaN--) based power management. eGaN FETs and integrated circuits provide performance many times greater than the best silicon power MOSFETs in applications such as DC-DC converters, remote sensing technology (lidar), motor drives for e-mobility, robotics, and drones, and low cost satellites.
As the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Test Engineer for the EPC IC Design Center in Aliso Viejo, CA you will work to develop automated tests for fast switching Gallium-Nitride (GaN) based integrated circuits (ICs).
The candidate must have the ability to design analog and digital test interface circuits to test GaN ICs. The candidate will require excellent analytical and hands-on skills in troubleshooting test circuits and test programs. These skills need to be finally translated to implementation of automated IC testing in a production environment using strong programming skills.
Essential Functions:

• Test solution design and development including planning, research and test methodology definition
• Experience in test development on an Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platform such as Credence/ASL, Eagle etc.
• Hands-on troubleshooting, correlation and characterization of test data and post-production statistical data analysis
• Proficiency in software languages such as Python, C and C# for ATE test program development
• PCB hardware design, schematic entry, layout, bill of materials, vendor selection, assembly, and troubleshooting. Must be proficient in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools such as Altium
• Test solution optimization that includes test coverage optimization, test time reduction and yield improvement
• Program and project management covering areas such as assembly, product, and test development, ESD testing and qualification, and reliability testing
• --Managing, monitoring, and supervising subcontractors and offshore assembly and test production facilities (OSAT)
  Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors/Masters Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 + years of experience in working with analog and digital test interface circuits
    Travel:Travel between EPC locations in El Segundo and Orange County, CA
