Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12 school
in Long Beach, CA is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language
Pathologist (SLP) for a full-semester contract position. This
opportunity offers 7-14 hours per week, providing valuable
experience in a dynamic educational setting. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students.
Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP)
meetings to support student progress and goals. Provide supervision
hours to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), ensuring
quality service delivery. Collaborate with educational staff and
parents to facilitate student communication development.
Qualifications: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) credential;
Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience preferred. Only certified
SLPs will be considered; SLPA candidates will not be accepted.
Strong understanding of K-12 speech-language pathology
requirements. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience working in school settings highly desirable.
