Pacifica Hotel Company is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join the corporate team! The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the issuance of accurate and timely financial statements.Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:Effectively communicate with all members of the accounting department, both corporate and hotel accounting, to improve processes and to achieve overall department goals and objectives.Lead and execute month-end close responsibilities.Review journal entries, tax filings, and bank reconciliations prepared by Accountants and ensure compliance with standard accounting practices, policies, and procedures.Mentor and train Accountants on performance of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting functions and procedures.Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.Serve as subject matter expert on Accounting policies and procedures.Review and document internal control procedures consistent with industry standards.Assist the Accounting Manager with specific projects and responsibilities as needed.Health Benefits, Travel Perks & MoreMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401k, Vacation and Sick Leave are offered with this position along with a Team Member Travel Program, encouraging each team member to visit sister properties and enjoy exclusive team member rates for rest and relaxation.
