Job Description:

Volt is NOW HIRING a CNC Machinist in beautiful Rancho Santa Maria, Ca ! This successful candidate has 5+ years of CNC Lathe or Mills Machining experience utilizing various metals and stainless steel.
This is a DIRECT HIRE , Full-Time opportunity.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
Schedule: M-F with Opportunity for OT on Saturdays
1st Shift: 5AM-2:30PM
2nd Shift: 2:30PM- 10PM
5 to 7 years of experience in a related field and/or training; Experience manufacturing valves or actuators is a plus!
- MUST be available to work overtime when required for priority shipments.
- Ability to set up and run CNC Lathe or Mills machines in time allocated.
- Knowledge of tooling, including best grades to use for different materials and jobs, cutting, speeds and feeds, drilling, threading, and machine capabilities.
- Ability to make set ups strong and safe enough to run at optimum speeds and depths of cut.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments to check parts.
- Ability to improve quality by inspecting parts and making sure that part is to print.
- Sets up and operates CNC machines such as lathes and mills, to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specifications, by performing the duties/responsibilities indicated below.
Checks CNC programs for errors and debugs/ edits them in order to improve time and quality of program.
Consults programmer to establish sequence of operation and product program readout when required.
Measures and adjusts machine parts.
Adjusts machine feed and speed and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.
May assist others in repair of own machines or equipment.
Detects and reports machine problems and faulty material.
Uses precision measuring tools/equipment to check accuracy and quality of product.
Uses hoists and cranes to move parts around work center and loads and unloads machines.
